Charles Wesley, the heart of Methodism, was born on Dec 18, 1707. The United Methodist Church will be celebrating the 300th Anniversary of his birth during 2007.

Dr. Whitney Dough presents a dramatic (with script and music) reporting of the life and ministry of Charles Wesley.

Whitney J. Dough was born in Philadelphia, PA,, Whitney Dough grew up in the State of Delaware. He was graduated from the University of Delaware (BA) and Conwell School of Theology (B Div) at Temple University.

He joined the Florida Conference of the Methodist Church in 1952 and served as pastor at Oneco, West Palm Beach, Wauchula, Lakeland, and Coral Gables (Miami)

In 1967 he was asked to be the director and speaker on a weekly telecast in Miami sponsored by the Council of Churches -- a ministry he maintained for five years.

In 1970 he and Dr. Herb Bowdoin launched a radio ministry called "Methodist Hour" which was heard on over 100 radio stations across America and around the world by short-wave. Mr Dough was appointed a General Evangelist of the Florida Conference in 1972 and moved to Orlando, FL. A recent publication is a calendar-sized booklet entitled, "New Hymns for Bible Truths with Familiar Tunes." It features 11 of Mr Dough's hymns, and pithy sayings of Dr. E. Stanley Jones It bears a powerful evangelistic message for the Church

"Methodist Hour" radio continues after 31 years with Mr. Dough still serving as Producer and Host. It is now an affiliate member of the General Board of Discipleship. The program features excellent contemporary spiritual music, readings from the Upper Room, gripping testimonials of Christian faith and service, and a biblical message by Rev. John Wolfe, a Georgia pastor.

Mr. Dough is a leader in the international Christian Ashram movement, and is the Director of the Florida Christian Ashram held each February near Leesburg.
